There is a recent article in Discover Magazine which discusses the dangers of Mercury. The article titled “Mercury Our Preferred Poison” can be found at www.discover.com/issues/mar-05/features/our-preferred-poison/.
This article really hits home for all of us concerned with Mercury toxicity, stating “ A little mercury is all human’s need to do away with themselves quietly, slowly, and surely. Also, “ A single drop in a large lake can make all the fish unsafe to eat.” The article discusses the 1996 death of Karen Wetterhan a chemistry professor who died after spilling a few drops of dimethyl mercry onto her hand. And, the article explains that mercury vaporizes at room temperature, and when you inhale it moves right from the lungs to the bloodstream to the brain.
